Effects of Foot Structure Type on Core Stability in University Athletes

چکیده
Purpose: This study assessed the impact of different types medial foot arch on postural stability and core center gravity muscle activity among collegiate athletes. Methods: The sample included 103 university-level athletes across various sports (soccer, rugby, basketball, volleyball, field tennis, table karate, cheerleading) from College Magdalena (Colombia) who exhibited distinct arch: 32 high, 35 low, 36 neutral arches. Surface electromyography (sEMG) was employed to assess conduction velocity, magnitude values, latency, fatigue in focal muscles including spinal erector (SE), internal oblique (IO), external (EO), rectus abdominis (AR), while measurements static dynamic control were also considered. Post hoc analysis performed with Bonferroni correction for all electromyographically measured groups, as well stability. Pearson’s or Spearman’s correlation tests used compare feet. Results: There no substantial differences observed between feet terms activity, stability, dynamics. Even though mean values indicated higher those high arches lower low compared type, this difference deemed statistically insignificant. We a positive average power which remained consistent types. Our findings indicate that instability is directly correlated anteroposterior direction, clear inverse relationship established lateral direction upon examining variable correlations. Conclusions: presence did not significantly responsible maintaining body’s suggests existence neuromuscular compensation mechanisms attempt restore balance compensate any changes caused by varying Through targeted training emphasizes activation muscle, may see improved stabilization exercises can prove beneficial improving plane, more approach be required improve plane.

The Effect of Core Stability Training Program on Balance in Blind Female Athletes
Background & Aims: Balance is one of the most essential elements of physical activities and an important factor in sport skills. Vision plays a paramount role in the processing and integrating other sensory inputs for controlling balance and selecting equilibrium strategy. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of an eight-week core stability training program on balance in blind...
متن کاملEffects of Foot Arch Structure on Postural Stability
Background: In many human postural studies, the foot is considered to be a rigid body. The human foot is composed of the arch structure, which is characteristic in every person and deforms with aging. Foot arch structure is assumed to effect postural control; however, underlying mechanisms remain unclear. The aim of this study was to elucidate the relationship between the structure of the foot ...
